I despise eating avocado with a passion. I read somewhere that you have to taste a food three times before determining if you like it or not. I tasted guacamole three times and still hated it. Then one day, I craved it. I ate it everyday for two weeks. I made my roommate make it, my friend drive over and make it, I bought it at Moe’s, Chipotle, and anywhere else I could even if it sucked. One day I realized  I needed to just learn to make it so I could save money AND not rely on someone to be home to make it for me.


  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • minced garlic
  • corn
  • 2 jalapenos
  • cilantro
  • salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin



Finely chop the tomato, onion, and jalapeno. Cut the avocado in small pieces to make it easier to mash. Mix all of the ingredients together then add all of the seasonings. Adjust the salt to taste.
